Shalfleet Parish Records

Marriages 1604 - 1751

The basic information for this comes from a transcription made by 'S.A.' of the Shalfleet Parish Record in around 1900 with the permission of the Vicar Rev. Charles C Shute. The original is held in the Hampshire Record Office, with a copy at the Isle of Wight Record Office. Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate any Baptisms and Burials transcription.

Data is taken directly from the transcript, I have so far only compared 1742 - 1751 with the actual register. Items with some degree of uncertainty are marked in Red. There are clearly large periods missing, particularly during the latter part of the seventeenth century

The dates used are from the Julian Calendar, the year started on Lady day, 25 March. This is as reflected in the actual registers.
